Volunteer

As a charitable organization Misfit Manor Dog Rescue Society relies on its volunteers to be able to commit to caring for every dog that comes to us. Many volunteers come in the form of fostering but that is not the only way that someone can help. What are we looking for?

Photography (someone who enjoys working with dogs that want to look their best for their big chance)

Events (Shows, yardsales, auctions, etc..)

Training (We are committed to working with positive reinforcement trainers)

Transport (Picking up and dropping of dogs to fosters and vet appointments)

Marketing and PR (We want to get the word out there about the work that we do and need flyers, business cards, even posters, etc.)

Event Coordinator – This is a long term volunteer position

Misfit Manor Dog Rescue is a small, foster based rescue here in Nova Scotia that focuses on local dogs with special needs. We have some of the highest standards among rescues. Our goal is to meet all medical, nutritional, physical and emotional needs of each dog and then match them to the best home possible through a thorough and comprehensive process. We are a volunteer run, charitable organization. We rely solely on donations from our followers and supporters to continue doing what we feel is one of the most important jobs on earth.
This position is to help organize fundraising events throughout HRM, Annapolis Valley and the South Shore.
We have several opportunities a year to fundraise and require an organized and goal oriented individual.
Must have experience organizing and executing all aspects of various types and sizes of events.
Candidate must be able to work well with a small team of very passionate individuals who have a solid vision of their expectations.
Free and respectful communication is essential
Must uphold all standards of Misfit Manor Dog Rescue.
