We’re a foster-based rescue – which means we don’t have a shelter, and our dogs aren’t available for drop-in visits.  Each one is safe and loved in a private foster home.

You’ll only be able to meet a dog after:
 An application is submitted
 References are checked
 A home visit is completed

 Please only apply for a dog listed as “Adoptable.” We do not pre-approve applications. Out-of-province applicants must be willing to travel.

What the statuses mean:

• Adoptable = Ready for applications!
• Medical Hold = Getting needed medical care.
• Evaluation Hold = Still being assessed.
• Special Needs = Requires ongoing specialized care.
• Applications Closed = No longer accepting applications.
• Compassionate Care = Will remain with MMDR due to medical challenges.
