Misfit Manor Dog Rescue Society is always looking for fosters. With our focus being on those with special needs, our fosters require an excellent veterinary reference and an interest in providing the extra time and care our dogs typically require. Many of our dogs are in care long term, and becoming a foster with MMDR can be a big commitment.
Fostering is one of the most rewarding ways you can help an animal in need. At Misfit Manor Dog Rescue Society, our focus is on dogs with special needs — those who require extra care, time, and patience.
What We’re Looking For
Because of the unique needs of our Misfits, foster homes must:
Provide an excellent veterinary reference
Have an interest in caring for special needs dogs
Understand that fostering with MMDRS may be a long-term commitment
Be available to bring your foster dog to vet appointments
Every foster home provides a safe, loving place for a dog until they find their forever family. For many of our dogs, it may be the first time they’ve experienced real love and care. As their foster, you are their:
Primary caregiver and protector
Advocate for their physical and emotional needs
Bridge to a new, happy life
What We Provide
MMDRS supplies everything needed for your foster dog, including:
Food
Crates, collars, and supplies
Veterinary care and medications (all expenses covered)
What You Provide
The most important thing only you can give: LOVE.
Fostering saves lives — and your kindness makes it possible
